A new security update will require an update to the latest version of the software on your PAX S300, which will happen automatically when you restart the terminal. Before restarting, please make sure to settle any pending credit card payments by performing a “Batch Close” of your system. If you have any transactions remaining in the system, it will block a software update, so it is important to do this before restarting. Once you have made sure that there are no remaining transactions, you can restart your device by simply unplugging your PAX terminal from power and then plugging it back in. A software update will automatically occur to your system and should take no longer than 5 minutes, and your terminal will function as before once complete.
